The Red Lion was situated at 50
Westgate. This pub was demolished in the 1970s. Publican from 1925 to 1960
was Edgar Elmore, who served on Sleaford Urban District Council from 1938,
and became Chairman in 1951, being the first to wear the Chain of Office. He
also served on Kesteven County Council from 1946 to 1958. |
