The Globe Inn was situated on Maiden Row and closed in 1950. This pub was owned by the Soulby, Son & Winch brewery prior to closure.

My Grandfather’s family The Crashley’s ran this pub and my father who is now 93 said he can remember a monkey used to sit on the bar . He was just a kid when his dad used to take him there to see his grandparents must have been early 1930s.
