The Black Bull was situated at 22 Upgate. This grade-II listed pub was present by 1782 and closed in 1970. It is now used as a dental practice.

Listed building details:
Early Cl9 earlier core, with recent alterations. Rendered, Welsh slate roof. Right hand has 1 window with marginal glazing bars, above flat carriage archway. left hand section of 2 storeys, rendered, with hipped roof. The building now has a cantilever overhang at lst floor level and has been set back several feet from the original building line. A large small-pare# fixed light window has been installed on the ground floor, and under the archway, and a window of 4 lights, small-paned casements, on the lst floor.
