The Plough was situated at 19 Bailgate. This pub was present by 1791 and closed in the 1960s. It has now been demolished and replaced by retail units.

On 13th November 1841 Millicent Lyons, wife of Francis Lyons, labourer was accused at Lincoln Quarter Sessions of stealing five bottles from Thomas Baines, publican of The Plough.
