Lock Tavern

The Lock Tavern was situated at 62 Waterside South. This pub was present by 1828 and closed in 1916. It has now been demolished to make way for a moulding shop at the Sheaf Iron Works.

From the archives:
On 11th September 1862 Thomas Stennett, was accused at Lincoln Quarter Sessions of uttering three counterfeit half crowns at the Lock Tavern & Hope & Anchor.
