The Dolphin Inn was situated at 27
Eastgate, in what is now part of the Cathedral grounds. This pub was present
by 1827, closed in 1890 and demolished in 1892 by the owner Alfred
Shuttleworth, as it spoilt his view of the cathedral from his house. Also
known as The Two Dolphins. |
