An old woman always sat outside playing a banjo and singing 'she’ll be coming round the mountain'; I think its the only song she knew. Unfortunately I didn't know her name - maybe someone can shed some light on this colourful character.

This pub was operating as early as 1831. In 1858 the landlord was Benjamin Cooper, followed by James McSheen, Robert McSheen, Fred North, Matthew Monument (1906), Annie Monument (1958), the landlord was Cyril Pishorn (1967). In 1873 Landlord James McSheen applied to the magistrates for a spirit licence; he said the 'Coach and Horses' had been a licencsd beerhouse for 42 years and no complaint had ever been lodged against it.
