The Sir Isaac Newton was situated on Harlaxton Road. This pub has now been demolished to make way for a KFC outlet.
Just found reference to the above pub, strangely I'd commented on it whilst driving past this lunchtime, lasted only a few years as I remember it being built and demolished. I'm researching the history of the Springfield Arms and found mention of the landlord of that pub, together with several other local landlords objecting to the building of a new pub on Harlaxton road, in June 1961. Obviously didn't want competition!
