The Plough was situated on Church
Street. The first public house on this site was demolished and the current
building was built in 1921. The original public house is of unknown date.
The current building is built in a polite classical style using red brick
with stone dressings. Important features include the open pedimented
doorcase with engaged Tuscan columns, and the gilt and engraved pub sign.
The Plough Inn closed in 2007, and the building has been converted into
offices for the West Lindsey District Council. |
