The Black Head was situated at 19 Market Place. Originally known as the Blackamoors Head, it was present by 1828 when the publican was Jonathan Burton. It was renamed The Railway & Commercial Inn for a short time in the mid 19th century. The Gainsborough branch of the British Legion held their meetings here following WWI. Demolished in 1962 and replaced by a Co-op store.
