The Stag was situated at 64 Upper Conduit Street. This Hardy Hansons (Kimberley Ales) pub closed in 1961  when Alex Barrow, the Leicester heavyweight boxer, ran a club from the premises. The building along with those nearby demolished as part of slum clearances in the 1960s.
