Plough Inn

The Plough Inn was situated at 21 Stockwell Head.
Mentioned in Feoffment accounts of 1682, and appears in the trades directories from 1805 until 1916. In the early days it was known as the Pensioners Club, Hinckley being believed to have more military pensioners than any other town of its size in England. Many of the pensioners were survivors of the Peninsular War.
