The Royal Oak was situated on the High Street. This grade-II listed pub closed in the 1990s and has now been converted to a private house.
Listed building details:
Public house. Externally of C18-C19 but possibly incorporating earlier core. Brick with stone tiled roof. 2 storeyed, 2 unit plan with central doorway, and shallow squared bay windows, with splayed brick heads visible in the front wall. 2 upper 3-light casement windows all with leaded lights. Archway to passageway to rear to left, round head with springers and keystone. Spinebeam within. Long
