The Sir Walter Scott  was situated at 24 North Road. Demolished in the 1960s together with most of the other buildings on this road. Famous for a notorious murder in 1882 when a man murdered his bride-to-be on the morning of their wedding. He was hanged at Lancaster shortly after.
