Lime Kiln

The Lime Kiln was situated on Aqueduct Street and is now used as a Chinese restaurant. This was a Matthew Brown pub until taken over by Banks and closed in 2008. It was present by the 1830s.

It was temporarily closed down in 2009 for breaches of fire safety regulations. Even after it closed down there were still major issues with the property - a cannabis farm was discovered there in July 2018 and a fire broke out on the first floor in July 2021. Demolished on July 20th 2022 due to building becoming unsafe.
