The Lime Kiln was situated on Aqueduct Street
and is now used as a Chinese restaurant. This was a Matthew Brown pub until
taken over by Banks and closed in 2008. It was present by the 1830s. |
|
It was temporarily closed down in
2009 for breaches of fire safety regulations. Even after it closed down
there were still major issues with the property - a cannabis farm was
discovered there in July 2018 and a fire broke out on the first floor in
July 2021. Demolished on July 20th 2022 due to building becoming unsafe. |
