The Globe was situated on the corner of Corporation Street and Heatley Street. This pub was built in 1892 and was renamed Tom's Tavern in the 1970's, then numerous other names including Nono's, Mercury Flux,and Meino's. It closed in early 2010.

As at April 2011 this pub is now used as a Chinese restaurant called The Orientl.
