Duke Of Kent

The Duke Of Kent was situated on the corner of Kent Street and Frank Street. This pub closed in 2002.

If my memory serves me correctly there was a blacksmith who operated in the rear yard of the pub with access off Frank Street.
I think his name was Proctor but I am not sure. He built me a boat trailer in the 1960’s and he was a genius. All the machines in the building operated by leather belts off a central prime mover.
