The Duke Of Kent was situated on the corner of
Kent Street and Frank Street. This pub closed in 2002. |
|
If my memory serves me correctly there
was a blacksmith who operated in the rear yard of the pub with access off
Frank Street.
I think his name was Proctor but I am not sure. He built me a boat trailer
in the 1960’s and he was a genius. All the machines in the building operated
by leather belts off a central prime mover. |
