The Cottage was situated on Brook Street. This pub was known as the New Cattle Market for several decades up to around 1992. A Tetley pub, however Burtonwood for the last few years, closing in 2003. The building was in a terrace block which was demolished c1979, the same time as The Keystone 50 yards away on the opposite side of Brook Street.
