The Burns Hotel was situated at 254 North Road. This pub was demolished in the 1960s to make way for road widening.

One of my ancestors Thomas Blackley was the licensed victualler of the Robert Burn Tavern in the 1891 census. 1901 showed him as a Wholesale Brewer living at 70 St Thomas Road Preston. 1911 showed him as a retired Brewer still living at 70 St Thomas Road Preston.
