The Woodman

The Woodman was situated on Albert Road. This pub was destroyed in a bombing raid during World War II. There is still a Woodman Street off Albert Road.

My grandmother, Ellen Elizabeth Brockman, was listed as a beer retailer at this pub in Kelly's 1934 and 1938. I know she was there in 1932 as she was named on her mothers death certificate. By 1941 they had moved to Dockhead Stores.
