The New Gog was situated at 38-40 Freemasons Road. This was a Courage pub which closed in 2002. It was formerly called the Royal Albert.

Colin Knight	1963/1964	I have a black and white pic in my merchant Navy scrapbook, of myself and 3 shipmates off the Shaw Saville ship the Icenic prior to shipping out to Australia and New Zealand, seem to remember supping my pint listening to "Have i the Right" blaring out of the Jukebox, think it was no. 1 in the charts just then.
