Tony Shaw	1974/1984	My parents ran this pub during those years. Robert (Bob) and Agnes. They took over the run down hovel in 1974 and, built it up into one of Oldhams busiest public houses/. A great music venue with most of the local talent/bands having appeared there. It was also a great ' free and easy' hangout where people travelled miles to belt out a tune, usually provided by Mr Leslie Ormerod (piano and organ) and later Frank (forgot the surname) organist.
