The Moorcock Inn was situated on Oakenclough Road and is now used as a private dwelling.
I camped in the field across the road from the Moorcock Inn during the summer of 1974 or 1975 aged slightly less than 18!! Me and a mate walked all over the Fells and pretty much ate and drank and played darts in the pub when we weren't out and about. Such a shame it's gone.
