The Red Lion was situated at 126 Church Street. It closed in early 2009, following the closure of several other Golborne pubs within the last decade. The Red Lion was situated on the junction between Church Street, Lowton Road and Wigan Road. A small pub, with 2 rooms to the front of the bar and a games room at the rear. Served only keg and smooth type beers.
