The Farmers Arms was situated at 18 Church
Street. This pub closed in 2008. |
|
This pub was used as an Italian restaurant
following closure. In 2012 it reopened as a pub called The Bell & Bottle,
however closed again within 2-3 months. Until the mid 1868 it used to be
called The Shovel & Broom Inn and was known to adjoin a large Mill in Church
Street. It was sold in 1868 by the Keppel Estate, and was renamed the
Farmers Arms. |
