Farmers Arms

The Farmers Arms was situated at 18 Church Street. This pub closed in 2008.

This pub was used as an Italian restaurant following closure. In 2012 it reopened as a pub called The Bell & Bottle, however closed again within 2-3 months. Until the mid 1868 it used to be called The Shovel & Broom Inn and was known to adjoin a large Mill in Church Street. It was sold in 1868 by the Keppel Estate, and was renamed the Farmers Arms.

Now reopened.
