The Brookes Arms was situated on Brooke Street. This pub closed in 2013 and has now been demolished.

The hanging sign from the outside of the pub now resides in a small town in east Texas, USA. Bought at auction, it is to become the sign of the Nickel Manor in Palestine, Texas USA. The Nickel Manor is being rebuilt as a venue for all sorts of events. It does, however, share a yard with a wonderful pub, the Pint and Barrel Drafthouse. I am the owner of the Nickel Manor and a frequent patron of the Pint and Barrel.
