The Bridge Inn was situated on Manchester Road. This pub opened in 1939 and is now used as an Indian restaurant.

Owned by my family over three generations all called Henry Wood. When my grandfather sold out he retained much of the stock and I still have many unopened whiskey & vintage port bottles from 1939 still in the original cases. I have invoices and receipts for the running of the pub with the costings for the beer they brewed.
