The Admiral Owen was situated at 8 High Street. This pub was previously known as the Pelican and the Three Mariners. The pub dates from around 1546 (although the building is c.15th century) and was known as the Admiral Owen from 1832. The pub was grade-II listed in 1950. The pub closed in March 2019. Planning application is being sought to convert the premises to a restaurant.
