Way back in the seventies, I think it was 1974-5 or so, my brothers and I used to climb an apple tree and get in the roof hatch of the abandoned pub. It was our club house. There were still all the trappings left over...babycham mats etc. I grew up in Hythe and was probably 8 or 9 at the time but they were different times...went to the old St Leonards school before it became residences... I think one friend of mine joined us..a fella called Russell Miles, used to live on Twiss avenue, I used to live at Douglas house ( 15 douglas avenue before it became flats)
