The closure date of the Eleven Cricketers is unknown but it has been closed
for at least 30 years. A concrete sign imbedded into wall remained until
2006, when a flat was built over the driveway on right. Formerly owned by
John Bell (famous Kent Cricketer) in 1760 and often frequented by famous
cricketers of the time. The building has remained empty but looks as if it
will be converted into private housing. |

The pub was situated on East Hill and
closed in 1988 but has been renovated over the years and there are plans to
reopen it as part of a hotel complex that will include the adjacent Jolly
Miller. |
