The Victoria was situated at 71 Northgate
Street. This pub closed c1970. |

In the 1960's, this was one of the few
pubs in Canterbury that opened on Christmas Day night. Of interest to some,
I was recently in Gibraltar. On Main Street a wine/cocktail bar was in the
process of being readied for business. The frontage was almost a replica of
the "Vic". It brought back fond memories of the original Victoria when I was
on leave in the 60's from the RN. |
