The Victoria

The Victoria was situated at 71 Northgate Street. This pub closed c1970.
In the 1960's, this was one of the few pubs in Canterbury that opened on Christmas Day night. Of interest to some, I was recently in Gibraltar. On Main Street a wine/cocktail bar was in the process of being readied for business. The frontage was almost a replica of the "Vic". It brought back fond memories of the original Victoria when I was on leave in the 60's from the RN.
