The Northover

The Northover was situated on Northover Road, at the south
west junction with Verdant Lane. This pub was called The Governor General
for a while and was closed c1992, after which it was demolished with a
petrol station built on the site. The pub was used as a set piece in the
film 'The Long Good Friday'. |
