The Clockhouse was situated at
205 Beckenham Road, closing in 2005. This pub was built in the
late 1950s/early 1960s, replacing The Prince Arthur, and has now been
demolished and replaced by a block of flats.
The pub took its name from a former mansion that was further down Beckenham
Road, it too was demolished, in the early 1900s. The area is called Clock
House and there are a few people who live in the area that have had a pint
in both pubs and witnessed them both being demolished. |
