Listed building details:
Public House. Late C16 or C17. Cased and extended C18. Altered and extended C19 and C20. Timber frame. Brick cased and roughcast, some tilehanging and weatherboarding. Tiled roofs. Original 2 bay 2 storey block to left. Entrance to right in projecting C20 porch. 2 ground floor 2 light casements, 3 first floor 3 light casements, all with cambered heads. Boxed eaves. Left end gable tilehung. 3 bay C18 1 storey block to right, 2 and 3 light casements, ridge stack, weatherboarded right end gable. 2 storey wing to rear right of main block with hipped roof may be original. Further hipped and lean-to rear projections. Interior: curved braces, jowled posts and cambered tie beams, queen struts to collars clasping purlins, curved windbraces.
