building details: |
House, once 2 dwellings. C16 or early C17
refronted in late C18. Timber frame. Red brick front, rendered gable ends,
exposed frame with brick nogging to rear. Tiled roof. Possibly a late hall
house, floored and rebuilt as a symmetrical pair of cottages. 2 storeys. 4
bays. Ground floor: entrance to left with dentil cornice bracketed hood,
blocked
entrance to right, inner 3 light C20 casements, segmental heads to all
openings. Rendered plinth. First floor: blind openings flank 3 light
casements. Dentilled eaves. Large stack to rear right. 1 storey 1 bay C19
addition to left with end stack. To rear a gabled extension. Interior: stop
chamfered ground floor binding beam. King post trusses to
roof with straight windbraces. |
