The Three Horseshoes was situated at 18 High Street. This pub was present by 1794 and closed in 1958.  This 15th century building was subsequently demolished with retail units built on the site.

My grandparents Florence and William Blackburn (Flo and Bill) ran this pub when I was very young. I have many fabulous memories of going there each Friday before I started going to school. There were rooms to stay and they lived behind in adjoining accommodation.
