Chris Wallace	1939/1964	My Uncle and his wife, George and Lily Dowsing used to be landlord of this old pub. I used to go and stock the shelves whilst my grandmother, who was Fred Dowsings sister used to help with the day to day housework etc. When passed away Lily was granted the license and became one of the first ladies to be granted a publicans license. This was c1962 i believe
