Carpenters Arms

The Carpenters Arms was situated on Park Street.
It
was closed by Ind Coope in the late 1970s because it still had outside
toilets. It was a very traditional little several-roomed side-street
boozer. It now appears to have been converted into dwellings, although was
an antiques shop for many years after closure. |
