The Waterloo was situated at 7 Southgate Street. These
premises housed a tavern in the late 17th century called the Phoenix (or
Phenix) until early in the 18th century when it was renamed The Isle of
Wight Hoy. It is first referred to as The Waterloo a hundred years later. This pub is
now used by an estate agents. |
