My parents Norman and Peggy Swift were lcencees in the early 60's. I was 14
in 63. One little anecdote I can share is the the North Walls Police
station was newly constructed when we moved into the Wagon and as the new
licencee my dad was a bit taken aback when it became apparent that the the
local constabulary were accustomed to the premises being available for
regular lock ins, much smoke and noise I seem to remember. |
