The Sun

The Sun was situated at 10 The Square. This pub was present by 1675. By the middle of the 19th century it belonged to the Southgate Brewery. It was offered at auction in 1860. In a report on the outcome of the auction it was reported that the Sun Inn was one of only two public houses not sold. It is not clear what happened to the Inn, but there is no further reference in papers or directories, so it probably was sold on  or other purposes. This pub is now in retail use.
