The Brewery Tap was situated at 3 St Thomas Street. This pub
is now in retail use. On the corner of St Clement Street and St Thomas
Street it was, until 2013 a ladies hairdressers salon called Blinkers. This
was a pub called The Carpenter's Arms from at least the middle of the
nineteenth century. The name changed to the Brewery Tap in 1895, reverted to
The Carpenter's Arms in 1898, but changed again in the early 1900s, this
time to the Brewery Bar. By the time it closed in 1931 it was once more The
Brewery Tap. |
