My late father's parents ran this pub in the
1920s. They were Earnest and Beartice Mills and their son, my dad, Gerald
Mills, was born there in 1918. His dad, Earnest, was a very practical man
and built a large doll's house in the pub so customers would return
frequently to see the project's progress. In the alley beside the pub were
watering and grooming facilities for horses. |
