The Victory was situated on Forton Road. This pub was demolished in 1981.

Pub was near or next to a church on the other side of Forton road from the Queen Charlotte. The pub had a football team called Victory FC which played in the Gosport Sunday league. I was 'scouted' to play for them. My career lasted from 1974 to 1980 when I moved to Oxford. Memorable team mates are Jack Carr(landlord, manager), Pete Southern, Pete Chaston, Micky McKay, Tony Duffin, Neil Harper (goalkeeper), Bob Sawyer, John Studley, Dave Maynard, Paul Toastavine, Dick Langridge, Jess House, Rob Honey, John Swift. Where are they now in their 60's and 70's.
