The Queen Charlotte was situated on Forton Road.
This pub was built on the site of an earlier pub of the same name. It was later known as Madelines and is now used as a Tesco Express. |

Came here every Saturday lunchtime in
early 70's while waiting for my service wash at the launderette opposite the
Criterion bingo hall. Pub was very modern at the time. |

Affectionately known by all Gosport pubgoers as
"The Swinging Tit" because of the ship's figurehead outside the pub which
proudly displayed Charlottes ample bosom! |
