North Star Tavern

The North Star Tavern was situated on Fareham
Road at Bridgemary.
My great Great Grandfather on leaving the Royal Marines in
Forton Barracks became the landlord of this pub from about 1890 till his
death in 1912. His name was Martin Brady and his wife was Evelyn Whitmarsh.
Martin was from Dublin and Evelyn is a Gosport girl. My parents still live
in the area today in Fareham.
The Pub was situated on the Fareham Road at Bridgemary. The location is
now a industrial estate but I believe it was situated in the area of
Aerodrome road

This pub reopened as The Coach House
which has now also closed. The premises are now used as a Turkish
restaurant. |
