The Ship Inn was situated on the B3051.  This pub was formerly a family run pub noted for its food and splendid oak furniture. It closed in the early 2020s during the Covid pandemic. In 2022 it was converted into a non-profit arts centre for crafts and live performances. It also offers B&B accommodation and is a local exam centre for the London College of Music.
