Old Castle

 


 

The Old Castle was situated on Castle Street. This pub was present by 1820 when the publican was John Tucker. It was destroyed during a WWII air raid, having already been rebuilt in the 1840s following a fire when the publican Thomas Worthington, an invalid, died.
