The Victory was situated at 35
West Stockwell Street.
This pub begun life before 1764 as the Bishop
Blaise. When the railways came to Colchester in1843 it was renamed the Locomotive and
it was again renamed the Victory in
1894. This last name was quite short-lived as the pub closed in 1912. It
is now a private residence. It
had been a Colchester Brewing Company house. |
