Albert Inn
Albert Inn
 |
Albert Inn second building on left. |
|
|
The Albert Inn was
situated at 103 North Station Road. |
|
This pub was present by 1848 and was demolished in
1932. It was then rebuilt a hundred yards or so to the north, on a much
bigger scale, on the new Cowdray Avenue ring road. It remains open at the
new site as the
Albert, as part of the Beefeater chain.
Historically it had been a
Truman’s pub. |
